Currently designed for

  • TUW scientists with a disruptive research result who want to commercialize their IP

  • TUW students with an early-stage business idea that has not yet been incorporated

  • TUW Entrepreneurs who commit to pursue their start-up as their main occupation

 

It includes: 5 months of support to build your business

  • Currently, winning at either the StartAcademy Pitch Challenge or the Diploma Supplement on Innovation DemoDay grants you 5 months of support at the TUW i²ncubator. During the 5 months you will work to improve your business model and to bring your idea forward to an investable business.

  • At the end of the 5 months you will present your progress in front of a jury of investors & potential strategic partners.

 

Call4Submission for the next StartAcademy (Feb 21-23, 2017) is open and closes on January 15th, 2017

 

How do these 5 months look like:

  • Workspace in the FounderSpace (peer-learning)

  • Lab space (if necessary)

  • Input sessions on specific topics in the incubation program (workshops, expert advice)

  • Mentoring (expert advice, business coaching, business angel involvement, etc.)

  • Inter-/national network support (strategic partnership, geographically, scientifically, global incubator network, funding)

The pool of experts covers a variety of topics: e.g. marketing, financial planning, legal, strategy, team, stakeholder engagement, etc. The experts are practitioners in the respective fields and/or entrepreneurs/serial entrepreneurs themselves.
